A Super Visa is valid for 10 years, but unless you meet specific criteria, it cannot be renewed. What is the Super Visa? The Super Visa, which was introduced in 2011, allows parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents to visit Canada for up to two years at a time. Those who hold a valid visitor visa may apply for the Super Visa at their nearest Canadian visa office. The application will include an undertaking signed by all adult applicants (over the age of 18) that they will leave Canada at the end of the visa period.
